Coaching Notes:

Pre-Teach: No
Focus: Internal
Purpose: Practice focusing on one’s own body
First move: Allow hand to have a mind of its own, like you can’t control your hand’s movements. Stay on the spot but allow the rest of the body to become affected by how the hand is moving. Change hands, and also play with the tempo of the movement.
Sometimes it moves so slow, and it might suddenly speed up and slow down again.
Explore levels and directions!
Second move: soft walk 1-2 as you follow your hand(s) when the soft beat starts.
If you feel like they are not done with exploring on the spot, feel free to keep them there until you are ready to introduce traveling.
Follow your hand as it guides you across the dancefloor. Your hand might suddenly change directions and the other hand might take over.
Sometimes both of the hands want to be the boss, and the hands might not always agree on the direction either!
Just explore and play with this idea until the end of the song, or fade it out if needed, depending on the age and how engaged you are able to keep the kids!
