Coaching Notes:

Pre-Teach: No
Focus: Both
Purpose: To strengthen and mobilize the joints and muscles of the hands, arms and shoulder joint. This song is a great song for getting creative with the hands and arms. The whole song is about making snake like movement with the arms, isolate one arm-snakes, and both arms at the same time. It’s smooth, fluid and playful.

First move is doing snake movement with one arm for four counts, then alternating. Keep it simple until everybody gets the rhythm of 4 and 4.
Then start to coach for doing the snake movement in different directions, using the levels, exploring the space behind them, towards the floor, towards the ceiling and so on. You can also have them look at the hand making the snake move, to get the head and eyes involved as well.
Coach for as many different ways possible of playing with the snakelike movement.
Second move is having them add both arms at the same time, and travel it.
Same coaching goes for the TP as the OTS – coach for diversity, levels and exploring different ways of doing the snake movement.
This song is great with finger lights: have them place the finger light on the palm-side of the hand, middle finger, facing out.
Transitions:
There are no transitions to follow here, you can transition anytime you want, just make sure your groovers have enough time in each move to really explore the possibilities.
