First move: walk 2, dance 2 – this is easy funk, 2 steps and 2 dances. Use different body parts to express the dance.
Feel the heavy beat and “talk” with the arms a bit.
Second move: open/close 6 – walk 4 – the intention on this one is that the open/close is a balance…this is very challenging, so don’t have them get too serious about it.
They can add balance in at any time. The expression of the open close has endless options, so encourage them to find lots of different ways to do this.
Adding lots of breath to this one as well. Then 4 funky walks somewhere else. They could even open and close near someone to feed off their collective energies.
The more you do this song, the more creative you can get with it.
