Pre-Teach: Yes, the second move
Focus: External
Purpose: Playing with voice and connection
Pre teach the second move which is a line where everyone put their hands on the shoulder of
the person in front of them. Have them practice it so they are prepared for it when you ask them to form a line when the music is playing.
If the kids are 8+ years old, you can practice a 123-kick too.
First move: Play Maracas/drums. Allow them to choose. Ask them to wiggle their whole body with it.
Second move: Continue with the first move, but repeat “Conga!” after the singer in the music.
Third move: Form a line after one another and walk to the beat.
For the smallest kids, just have them march it, but for the 8+ years old you can have them do a 123-kick in line.
Transitions:
0:00 Play Maracas/drums
0:22 Repeat “CONGAAAA!” after the singer
0:36 Form a line and march, holding the shoulders of the person in front of them.
1:12 have them let go of the line and end repeat “CONGAAA!” until the song ends!
