Coaching Notes:

Pre-Teach: No (Great idea though to add the waltzing rhythm to your warm up walk so they’ve already tried it)
Focus: External
Purpose: To connect to one rhythm.

First move: Waltz. Put this beat in your feet: 123-123 or down-up-up-down-up-up. Allow your body to be soft and your movements
light and delicate.
Start to travel the room with your waltz.
Lift your arms and add them to your dance.
Can you turn as you waltz?
Can you waltz sideways?
Allow your head to gently sway as you dance.
Have you tried turning to the other side too?
How elegant and delicate can you dance it?
Infuse your movement with your breath.
Listen to the song and let the music inspire your dance.
Remember, your way is the right way. Don’t copy anyone – simply waltz in your own unique way.
Is there somewhere in the room you haven’t been yet?
How lightly and elegantly can you move your arms?
Try looking at your hands once in while.
Even your gaze is soft.
Explore your levels as you waltz – bending your knees and coming high up on your toes.
