Purpose: To mobilize the hips
First move: Start on the spot warming up your hips. Make 8’s or circles. You’ll hear a “Huh”. When you hear that, add a jump 2, 3, 4, and walk 2, 3, 4. Again. Groove it. Get your arms in it. Go a different direction each time. Lots of booty. If you want to get into your legs more, bend those knees. Little jump. And walk. Show me your hips and make it feel really good! Get that booty to dance it. Lots of movement. Yes! Use your arms when you walk. Whole body is dancing. Big smile. *On the 3rd time you do this move – Now this time, smooth it out. Nice smooth hips for 4 and walk for 4. You can try levels. Arms are still dancing.
Second move: 1,2, 123. Awesome. Now get your arms in it. Explore your space. Directions. Let’s see your whole body dance it. Where haven’t you been yet? Even your head is dancing. Smiling. Happy. Celebratory. You can’t get it wrong. Let your body dance it.
*If you would like to use this in a yoga/chakra type class, this song is great to focus on the root chakra.
