Coaching Notes:

Pre-Teach: Yes, the partner-kick
Focus: External
Purpose: To create fun connections on the dancefloor

Pre-teach: ‘We are gonna connect in this song by holding shoulders, and kicking together – fun, burlesque style. Grab the person next to you, hold on to each others shoulders and kick together –kick-kick-kick-kick. Now quickly, find a new partner! And again, kick-kick-kick-kick.
At the end we will connect all of us together in one long kick line, so everybody connect with each other, facing this way!’.
Emphasize that it’s fun and not that serious, just play with it.

First move: Is a step kick. Connect them to the rhythm and style – it’s cute, sassy, flirty, sexy and playful. Coach for using directions and levels, and to add arms, hands and facial expressions to play with the burlesque theme.

Second move: Is the partner kick. Yell out so they can here you, to find a partner, and coach them in the rhythm so they kick together.
They can play with how high they kick, and invite them to travel as they kick as well. Know your transitions so you can coach them easily into the next kick with a new partner.
At the end you tell them to connect everybody in one kick line. If you have mirrors, use them and have fun with posing together at the end.
