Purpose: Warm up hips and spine + get heart rate up

First move: Start with a walk. It is slow the first time. “Slow slow slow slow”.
Allow your arms to sway by your side, relax your shoulders, but look at the other groovers and put a smile on your face! The second time the walk comes in, it has a faster tempo.
This time you ask them to pick up their knees and make it a peppy walk. Invite jazz hands and Broadway style!

Second move: Stay on the spot and twist! The first time it is a slow twist.
Really get them to warm up their spine by asking them to bend the knees and allowing the hips to move.
What about if you let your shoulders join in?
The second time the twist comes it is a fast twist.
Make sure to tell them to keep it small and focus mainly on the hips moving side to side.
The whole body can participate and shake in this twist!
