Brave, Confident
Kids Facilitator
Pre-Teach: No
Focus: External
Purpose: To celebrate being confident and brave,
Have your group walk around and tell people they are brave. Really have your kids tell each other “I’m brave” and own it, then go crazy in their own celebration brave dance.
First move: Confident-Walk. Show me how brave and confident you are. Strong, powerful, brave walk. Can your face tell me? Wow, look at you move, you are so strong.
Let’s see you go all directions. Where else can you go in the room. Maybe try a turn. When you have to be brave, how do you walk? That’s it!
Your way is the right way.
Second move: Sing/tell “I’m Brave” to each other. Arms high and proud. How can you express your bravery as you tell each other?
Let’s see it. Show someone else? Tell someone else how brave you are! Yes, you are!
Third move: Brave-Dance. Now it is time to create your own Brave Dance! Anything that feels good, go crazy and celebrate!
Let’s see what you’ve got! (You can facilitate a rhythm 1 2 123 with older kids and adults). As crazy as you can make it. Maybe try lower. Or a turn.
Let’s see what you’ve got!
