Pre-Teach: No
Focus: External
Purpose: To teach what a hip-hop style is
First move: The first move is a 1-2-pose. The pose should be sharp with attitude. ‘Everybody 12 pose, 12 pose, on the pose, I want you to give me some attitude.
Bend your knees and do something with your hands and maybe even your face!’
Second move: The second move is a low and slow. “The next rhythm goes low and slow, low and slow. Bend your knees and get your chest low to the floor.
Let your arms dance in this too. See if you can make it feel really hip hop.”
Third move: The third moves goes, run run run run bounce and bounce. They can bounce anything they want. The runs are sneaky and little. ‘Everybody run run run run bounce and bounce.
I want to see you run a different direction every time and then just pick a body part and bounce it. See if you can get your elbows involved somehow.’
This track is very hip-hop. It needs a lot of attitude. It is low into the floor. The moves go with the music in a format that repeats 3 times.
