Pre-Teach: Just tell them about the fall in line part and floor part
Focus: internal/external
Fitness Elements/Purpose: CR (creativity), RT (reaction time), ROM, Coordination, Muscle Strength, Power, Muscle Endurance, Cardiovascular
First move: Funky Dance Walk – we are pretending we are at Boot camp and the sergeant is nowhere on site so we can play and have fun.
Second move: March – very straight, serious and getting those knees up! Its when the sergeant comes back in the room. Not a ton of travel so the knees can come up. Very sharp turns and travel all directions. Elbows bent 90 degrees and pump those arms.
Third move: Combo of walk 4 dance 4….alternating between serious marches and playful funky dancing!
BREAK: Have your group “Fall in Line” like at boot camp….all facing you. Marching seriously. Then have them turn to face all 4 walls and then when they come back, follow the little combo with fast feet and getting them to the floor for a plank or just lay down or do a few push ups! Bring them back up and dance it out, then finish with marches. Follow the music.
