Coaching Notes:

Pre-Teach: YES – talk about the light run/accent, but HAVE THEM DO the lateral leap/hop with you. It doesn’t have to be big, but it can be!
Focus: External
Fitness Elements/Purpose: CR, RT, Cardio, Muscle Endurance, Muscle Strength, Agility, Speed, Balance, Coordination, ROM, Power

First move: reach and release walk 4 – this is a dramatic reach and release with an intense walk 4.
Express it with your whole body in different ways each time!

Second move: light/high knee run with accent – begin with a light run on the beat, get them connected there.
Then if they are hear the stronger beat (it is on ct. 2), they can try to accent an arm and/or knee on that sound.
This will challenge their coordination and brain power, but it doesn’t matter if they get it, as long as they are connecting with the music and trying, it is perfect!
Stay light on the feet here, traveling the space creatively!

Third move: lateral leap with single leg hop – this should be pre-taught. The purpose here is to move side with more power and then work on a one legged hop up!
It’s again, so good for the brain and body to try new connections and even if they don’t get it, it’s ok. They are still connecting to the music and getting movement so it’s all good!
