Pre- Teach: No
Focus: External
Purpose: Rhythm and Cha-Cha dance
First move: Dramatic diva like poses. Get them to strike a pose wherever they are.
Ask for lots of confidence in their poses, shapes and different levels. Keep changing their poses.
You can ask them to stick different body parts out or with confidence look over their shoulder.
You can bring back the poses whenever you want throughout the song.
Second move: 1-2-cha-cha-cha rhythm. Connect them on the spot to the rhythm.
Stay on the spot for a little while until they get the rhythm and begin getting into the style.
Ask them to relax their body, soften their knees, add shoulder movement. Invite some hop movements.
Then invite them to travel around their space. They can go forward, backwards and sideways, even try turning.
Eventually ask them to add their arms and dance it with confidence. You can also invite partnering, if you do just make sure you ask them to be very gentle with whoever they partner with.
Invite turns and moving around the room, then they can say goodbye to their partner, whenever you’d like (don’t leave them with the same partner for too long!)
Third move: This is optional, but if you’d like you can ask them to just do the cha-cha-cha (123) rhythm.
Cueing can be same as above.
Transitions:
There are no specific times to transition in this song apart from the beginning is poses.
