Coaching Notes:

Pre-Teach: No
Focus: External
Purpose: To get down into the legs and build strength

First move: Celebratory Arms. Let’s start with some arms. Show some celebration in your arm dance. Bring them up and let them dance. Now you’re going to hear “Oba, Oba, Oba” and that’s when we want to accent our arms. Go somewhere new but keep dancing with the arms. Together. Yes. Now somewhere new. All directions. Like a celebration. Around each other. Arms celebrate! Arms up “Oba, oba, oba”. Start a little dance in your body. Maybe try it with someone. Celebrate arms up! YES! Again! Somewhere new. Lots of energy.

Second move: 2 to the side (Down and Up). Here we go. 2 to the side, down and up. Go low, make it a little dirty, a little gritty. How low can you go? Keep changing your direction each time. So low that you can feel your legs working. Bend those knees. Let’s see your style. Dancing your body, changing it up a little. You don’t know ’til you pick up your arms, just try different things. Deepen the legs. Show me your grit. Get the arms and head dancing. Whole body is in it. Let those leg muscles work. Travel. All different directions.
