Pre-Teach: Yes, second move
Focus: External
Purpose: Connecting to rhythms
First move: Clap. Before starting the music, introduce and practice the 1-2-123.
When they are connected to the rhythm and united you can start the song. Just do it on the spot this first time.
Invite them to move their arms and shoulders, showing of their Latina style and party attitude.
Second time this move comes, ask them to take the rhythm across the floor in different directions. If they are ready for it, suggest trying it backwards too!
Second move: 1-2-123. Start with connecting them to the clap in the music.
Have them dance their clap and involve their whole body in it.
Ask them to explore clapping different places around the body, having fun with it. Even suggest high fiving someone else!
