First move: Punches – Start OTS exploring all the different directions and levels they can punch. Explore double punches, many on one arm or even both together.
Then travel your punches playing with all these options and remember to get them to really DANCE it.
Second move: Floor push-ups – gradually move them lower OTS punching and get them onto the floor – or use chairs or walls.
The goal here is to use the strength of their arms to PUSH up…it doesn’t necessarily have to be a push-up….it a creative expression of pushing your body up off the floor and then lowering.
So many creative options here…be sure to demonstrate some of them at the beginning!
