strong, loosey-goosey, dance-party
Kids Facilitator
Pre-Teach: No
Focus: External
Purpose: Qualities of movement, stiff and straight, versus loose and curvy
It is NOT super defined when you change the moves….although there are some that work really well with the moves. Follow my times below but don’t worry about it too much.
Listen for the changes you will hear them. The first move is like a soldier walk, stiff, upright, serious and with sharp turns.
The second move is much more loosey, goosey, wiggly and sloppy traveling in all kinds of crazy patterns with your feet. See how much for your body can be loose. Spaghetti arms is a great cue.
Throughout the song there is a bell that rings. I usually try to get them to listen for it and change travel directions every time they hear it in both the stiff and loose walks.
**Later in the song, I also have them follow each other closely for a couple steps, then switch to a new person, this is very fun!
First move: Strong Stiff Walk- straight arms by your side, stand up tall and walk straight and turn sharp like a soldier.
Try to change directions or focus whenever you hear the bell!
Second move: Spaghetti Arms / Loose Walk – get sloppy, wiggly and a bit crazy silly!!
Still walking to the beat and still turning on the bell whenever you hear it. This move will really warm up the body fully!!
