Coaching Notes:

Pre-Teach: No Focus: External Purpose: Rhythm connection, partner connection, recovery

First move: Gentle sway side to side or slow walk. Ask your students to let their arms move with the sway and begin moving this around the room. Like always, they should be encouraged to move this in different directions around the space, practicing moving backwards, sideways, turning, etc.

Second move: Teach your students the 123 waltz rhythm. They can add this whenever they want and combine the slow walks with the rhythm.

Third move: Gently connect with the person beside them and dance the slow rhythm and/or 123 waltz movement together. Here they are practicing being gentle with each other and playing with partner connections by turning each other and moving in different directions. You can get them to switch partners whenever you see fit.

Transitions: This song doesn’t have any clear transitions so feel free to instruct these moves whenever you see fit with your group.
