Adult Facilitator
Pre-Teach: The Hip Combo
Focus: External
Purpose: To warm up the body and lubricate hip joints
Pre teach: ‘Try this Hip Combo with me before we start the song: Right after he sings “Give it to me one time!” – you swing your hips
to one side and hold the pose.
Then he sings ”Give it to me two time!” and you swing your hips twice and hold the pose. The same thing three times, and the fourth
time you dance your hips side to side’.
Have them try the combo with you once before your start the song.
First move: is Posing to the accents in the music – Get them to create some cool poses with church hands.
Ask them to explore levels, sticking out different body parts and flavor it with their personality.
Second move: is a Walk – Connect them to a smooth reggae walk until everyone is united in the same rhythm. It is soft, loose,
relaxed, and cool.
You walk with wide steps and invite them to add a ‘1-2-3 reggae style’ whenever they want to.
Third move: is the Hip Combo you pre taught – Make sure you cue them to stay on the spot when he starts singing ‘give it to me…’
so they are ready for the combo.
Then you cue for the hip combo 1,2 and three times. Inspire cool poses each time and have them really dance the hip swing allowing
their whole body to be part of the dance.
Note that at 2:17 you just do ‘give it to me one time’ / ‘give it to me two time’ and then continuous hips side to side.
Transitions:

0:23 Walk (add 123 when you want)
